Protest Mark William's Firing!

Join us on June 17, at 1:00pm in Roseville at the Wine Festival on Vernon Street. There will be several KFBK sponsors at this event and we are peacefully gathering to let them know how we feel about this station's new liberal slant.
The following announcement was emailed by Deborah Johns to Leo to share with all of Mark's supporters:
"We are meeting at Atlantic and Vernon Streets, across from the APX Motor Sports shop, in the dirt lot by the Southern Pacific train. If possible please make a sign that says BOYCOTT KFBK--THEY DON'T SUPPORT OUR TROOPS on one side, and WE WANT MARK WILLIAMS--HE DOES SUPPORT OUR TROOPS on the other side.
Deborah Johns will be making up some flyers to pass out to people as well.
Additionally, it is expected that Mark and Holly Williams will attend this protest to give their thanks for all of our support.
Please let everyone you know about this event! WE NEED LOTS AND LOTS OF PEOPLE."
Please email bounce847@surewest.net for more info, and to confirm your appearance at this special gathering.
*We have posted on this page because any mention of this event on Mark's forum has been deleted; apparently the site is being monitored by more than Mark's listeners and supporters.*
Just so you know, you're calls and emails to KFBK and their sponsors ARE making a difference:
* Tom Sullivan is now commenting that KFBK is having advertiser issues
* FOUR major sponsors have pulled their ads
* Ms. Teel of Raleigh's will be hand-delivered a letter from Marine Moms of Northern California within three days
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU ON THE 17TH! Please come back here over the next week to get updates and more info as it becomes available.

Mark, we miss you. Please get on the air somewhere again. I am getting tired of old reruns of Cops.
Please people that support Mark or just the position that KFBK took it upon itself to take our freedom of choice away from us. It was OUR choice to tune in or not. So please boycott the stores that were a big helping hand in this dismissal.

Junegirl, come to the protest on June 17th and tell Mark yourself-- I understand he will be there! :) Hope to see you there too!

Sure miss Mark Talk Live, The War Room and ect.

I left the info for the protest on Marks site last night and it's gone tonight.

Yes Cowgirl, seems like certain posts are being deleted and then others are not? I've noticed that Leo's post regarding the protest has stayed up this time, so between the forum and here I hope plenty of people see the info about the June 17th event.
I miss Mark's show too. I'm still very shocked about his firing, and SO disappointed with KFBK. I've always had the utmost respect for this station and in the course of one deliberate action, they have completely lost me and many other listeners-- not to mention at least four advertisers!

Wow....SactoRadio.....that's pretty deep stuff. IS that confirmed? Can it be confirmed??

Is there another link to that piece of insider info??

The Mark site is scrubbed for ANYTHING relating to kfbk and the Roseville Wine Festival protest.
I've tried 4 different times to slam something up there, and poof.
Gone within hours. Sooooo, if it's lawyers scrubbing, fine if they're Marks....if they're Clear Channels??
Wellllllll, that's another story.

The pressures on the Raliegh folks it seems, from comments I've heard concerning our little shibang. Personally, I'll be buying NUTZ for the Saturday event, and all folks have to do, is write something on a note for the bag, and I'll be delivering them to kfbk.

bruce hyman has acknowledged that the protest seems/appears to be working, and that they get the point. On air?? He dodges the Mark question...on air also, he makes sure to let people know, that WE who are not happy with this F*****up, ARE the problem, NOT the firing of Mark.

Typical lefty logic.

Well, as mrs hyman has said, it's business. Yours sucks...so, we want a replacement. I'll be there, near 10AM at Roseville on that day.
Hope to see folks there!!!

Sincerely Leo Naranjo IV

Hello to the Blogger world!!
Here's an update from last nights conversation with the JUNE 17 Rally organizers!!!:

1) MAF ( Move America Forward ) Distributes some 250,000 informational flyers supporting our soldiers since kfbk has abondoned them!

2) The witch of the station's advertising section, a Sue ( last name forgotten here ) is being bombarded with emails/faxes/phone calls NOT supportive of her or her stations decision

3) I've been allowed to mention, that kfbk IS renigging on the Severance contract with Mark Williams AND, is not wanting to repay him, for his LOAN of 20.000.00 dollars to help pay for the TRUTH for SOLDIER tour last summer

4) The support for the 17 JUNE 2006 events continues to grow...Northern California Marine Moms and other military groups are pledging to BE THERE on that day!

5) lastly, let's send jef " wish he had his own balls " holden, a message....send him some NUTZ!!
I'll be there with a PAIR for anyone to forward too him, message CAN be sent as well!

I thank those who are standing with us, as we take on kfbk for not only Firing Mark Williams, but for standing AGAINST the armed forces of the United States of America!!!

Clear Channel lawyers are combing over Mark's web site looking for anything that they can use against him. It would be a reasonble assumption that it is Mark's agent or attorney who are running his site right now.

I understand that KFBK cut off his severance when his agent insisted that KFBK also repay to Mark the 20-thousand dollars that he loaned to KFBK so that KFBK could cover the Iraqi War and produce other programs. I have heard something too about a back pay issue that KFBK is refusing to honor its contract with Mark. Word on the street is that their revenues have been way off ever since this new general manager and program director took over last year.

It seems to me that the out of town liberals in KFBK's local management who have done this are alos seeking to personally damage Mark (the new guy bad mouths Mark whenever Mark's name is brought up).

My advice to Mark is to keep your head down or these people at KFBK will ruin your career in retaliation.

We really want to have you come out Cayla, I'll see what I can find out and in the meantime, keep posting at Mark's forum for carpools. Maybe someone will see it who can help you out.

Howdy Ms Cayla,

It went okay, we had about 20 or so folks show up; MAF was present;
up too 500 flyers protesting kfbk, were either handed out or left on vehicles; Tho there was a lot of Security there, they didn't bother us, unless you don't include the fact they followed Ms Johns around.
2 ladies who attended were informed by Ralieghs staffers, that they, " believe all of us should be arrested. "
Interesting.....given that Roseville PD was there and about all day long, THEY didn't bother us either......mind you, they DID take a great interest tho, when ever we placed flyers or approached people....soooo, we had to do that very gingerly.

The day was well into the 90's, and while the amount of people was small....the effect seemed to be rather large. For one, ONLY 101.5 FM had a booth there...NOT kfbk.
I find that very interesting, cause they always seem to have been front n center on things like that. Seems they might have been frightened off?? The crowd was rather average, given the coverage, so we presume that our actions MIGHT have helped lower crowd expectations........
and lastly, off Marks blog site, we hear that Ms Lang quit.
WOW..
Oh yea, and mr hyman is already on a week's vacation. Less than a month there, and he's off for a week......yea buddy!!

Who's eating WHO"S shorts now!??!?!?

Bummer.......well, as THIS medium isn't being plugged by lawyers....

Anyways, here's some updated information concerning address's/phone numbers, for folks who wish to email the kfbk powers that be.

Please feel free to let these ' people ' know, how upset you are at the decision to both remove Mark Williams and disparage our Soldiers with a squatter like bruce hyman.

Mark P Mayes --clear channel ceo
(210)822 2828

jef " wish he had his own balls " holden----kfbk manager (??)
(916) 929 2223

EMAIL:
jefholden@clearchannel.com
AlanEisenson@clearchannel.com

Station Phone number:
(916) 929 5325

Let's see here:
1) Canned Mark;
2) brought in some lefty;
3) dismisses our soldiers;
4) Loses major advertisers;
5) Runs away from the roseville wine festival;
6) Tells upset LISTENERS that WE are the problem, not kfbk;
7) informs listeners that a bus is leaving, BE UNDER IT;
8) Loses Chris Lang to Nevada.

Now, if you were to ask me?? jef "wish he had his own balls " holden would be at the downtown welfare office, applying for aid.
However, given how LEFTIES work, it stands to reason, that holden MIGHT be up for a promotion to CEO of Clear Channel soon!!!!

( please note EXTREME sarcasim here )

UPDATED INFO!!!! more or less...

1) Here is what KFBK is doing. They syndicated Mark's show last night with a real real liberal, and to give the KFBK listners a dose of what they call real liberal talk show for a week, so when Maiman comes back next week, they think the public will accept him and think he really is not a liberal after all. Just a big fat ploy that is smoke and mirrors.

2) jef supposedly was there on Saturday......( oh yea, maybe he was one of the BANDS that was playing?? )

3) Bruce's wife is the sales manager at Y92. They are good friends with Sara Simpson, the head cheese over sales.......( It is my understanding that Y92 is kissing her ass to stay there, and sacrificed Mark in order to hire mr hyman, since mrs hyman was threatening to quit )

Makes you wonder, doesn't it??

Media savvy: E-mailers relax: New KFBK host is no liberal

By Sam McManis -- Bee Staff Writer
Published 12:01 am PDT Tuesday, June 20, 2006
Story appeared in Scene section, Page E2
Print | E-Mail | Comments (2)
A flurry of e-mails on a single subject, more than 500 at last count, landed in Media Savvy's in-box during the past week. Finally -- finally! -- it's been reduced to a trickle.
No, we weren't being spammed by Viagra marketers or Nigerian royalty in exile. It was an organized campaign by Move America Forward, a conservative public interest group, to persuade KFBK (1530 AM) to rehire deposed talk-show host Mark Williams.

The real target was Jeff Holden, boss of Clear Channel's stable of Sacramento stations and the man responsible for replacing Williams with little-known talking head Bruce Maiman.
But -- and gee, thanks much, folks -- Savvy was cc'd on every single flaming e-mail. We stopped opening them after a while, but the subject lines alone gave the gist:
"RE: Replacing Mark Williams with left-wing, anti-war radical."
"Disgracing our soldiers."
"Mark Williams can be redeemed, scum cannot."
"RE: Bruce Stinks."
"Mark Williams -- An American Patriot."
Williams was an activist conservative's best ally. He organized pro-war rallies at the Capitol, cheered on the Minutemen at the U.S.-Mexico border and called rapper Kanye West a "Ku Klux Klansman in blackface."
Maiman, his replacement, was pretty much a blank slate, ideologically, when he took over. Holden called Maiman a "moderate" while Maiman himself opted for "contrarian" when quizzed by Savvy.
So when e-mail after e-mail from Williams supporters all but labeled Maiman the liberal love child of Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan, Savvy figured it was time to give this guy a listen.
After several nights of catching "The Bruce Maiman Show," which airs in the 7 to 10 p.m. spot Williams held for five years, we're here to report that Williams fanatics have nothing to worry about.
This guy's a closet conservative. There's not a left-leaning bone in his body. Maybe it only seems that way compared with Williams. After all, Maiman doesn't froth at the mouth and call for the assassination of Kim Jong Il, as his predecessor did.
It's been quite an adjustment for loyal Williams listeners, at least for those still bothering to tune in. Maiman is coy about his views -- "Why do people have to think in labels like liberal or conservative?" he told Savvy, perhaps forgetting he hosts a political talk show -- but his on-air comments make it clear he's a solid red-stater.
Take last week's fawning interview with Tom McClintock, the Republican state senator running for lieutenant governor. First, he told McClintock: "I'm sitting in the middle of this. I'm not a bona fide Republican. But I'm certainly no Democrat. I carry no water for anybody."
OK. Sounds admirable.
But then Maiman, gushing like a schoolboy, confided to McClintock that he voted for him in the 2003 recall election. He also joined McClintock in railing against big government, and the two took turns criticizing the California teachers union. And when McClintock spoke about the differences he and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger have on transportation and infrastructure, Maiman assured him, "I'm sure you guys will work that out once you get elected."
Ever coy, Maiman quickly added, "Oops, did I say that?"
Still later: "Will it be four or five years before we call you governor, Tom? That wouldn't be a bad choice."
Uh, Bruce, it seems to Savvy like you're carrying several gallons of water for the Repubs.
Then, in the show's next hour, Maiman tossed a series of softball questions at Matt David, the governor's campaign spokesman.
After comparing the Democrat primary battle between Phil Angelides and Steve Westly to a "Jerry Springer" episode, Maiman asked: "Why would I even consider voting for either one of these guys?"
Such comments may placate some Williams supporters. But the hard-core types apparently consider Maiman's shtick as mere "compassionate conservative" claptrap.
On the day the U.S. military killed al-Qaida's Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Maiman apparently didn't react gleefully enough for some KFBK regulars.
Caller "David from Citrus Heights" took Maiman to task: "I've got a problem with your whole milquetoast approach to this thing. I'd win (the war in Iraq) in two weeks. We have a pretty good collection of neutron bombs."
Another caller, "Joe from Sacramento," questioned Maiman's manhood: "You have no spine."
Maiman waited until the end of the hour to fire back: "For those who say I'm a little too wishy-washy, you know, you macho guys who have to strut your stuff with your spine, you ought to try thinking a bit. Sometimes, you can be wrong. That's not a bad thing."
It's also not necessarily a bad thing for a talk-radio host to profess being a voice of reason. But Maiman's favorite phrase seems to be, "On the other hand …" It dilutes his message and isn't compelling radio.
He's a radio pundit; he's paid to take a stand. KFBK listeners, overwhelmingly conservative, have come to expect as much.
But, on the other hand, the rabid e-mailers are wrong. He's no lefty.
Try tuning in to talking heads Enid Goldstein at KCTC (1320 AM) or Christine Craft at KSAC (1240 AM), and you'll hear the difference. Good or bad, you never have to guess about their political ideologies.

oh, my god.

We miss you, Mark.
We have been long-time supporters of your show, attended many of your patriotic rallies with signs waving where we often spoke with you and your lovely wife, Holly.
Something is really missing when we don't hear your voice speaking for us every weeknight.
Hang in there. Keep up the good fight.
We called and emailed KFBK and told them firing you was as absurb as it would be to fire Rush Limbaugh who has a following of millions. Hope they get the picture.
We told them we were boycotting KFBK and their advertizers until they bring you back.
Hang in there.
